This painting features two of the earliest and most iconic locations in Las Vegas history. The Broken Arrow, the first freestanding neon sign designed by Betty Willis—the same artist behind the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign—stands prominently. In the background, you can see the rescued La Concha, which was under construction at the time of this painting. La Concha eventually became the lobby and entry into the present Neon Museum and Boneyard, preserving its own legacy within the city’s evolving neon landscape.
