This piece features the oldest neon sign in Las Vegas, the Steak and Chicken sign. Behind it, you can see Lady Luck and the Golden Nugget, while in the upper right, a clock face from Western Wholesale appears, with the "swinger" peeking through the white trellis of the Desert Rose. The exits of the Fox Theatre are visible on the upper left, adding another layer of historical significance to the composition.

The Desert Rose Motel was a family-run business that operated on the Las Vegas Strip from the early 1950s until it was demolished in the 1990s. Known for its vintage charm, the motel served visitors for decades before being replaced by the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino (now rebranded as Park MGM). The Desert Rose sign, however, was preserved and is now part of the Neon Museum collection, continuing to celebrate Las Vegas' iconic signage.
