This painting captures the monumental scale of the Stardust’s iconic font, its oversized letters standing like remnants of a forgotten colossus. The way the signs were stored and grouped together with steel supports at the Boneyard gives the scene a sense of both reverence and decay, as if these relics are waiting to tell their stories again.
Peeking through the towering letters, you can make out the words "Free Ark," a fragment of what remains of the Mint’s "Free Parking" sign. The Mint, which operated from 1957 until 1988 before being absorbed into the Horseshoe Casino, left behind this lone surviving piece of signage. These fading words are the final trace of a once-iconic casino, now preserved only in fragments of its neon legacy.
