I love this sign...It was fun to paint. The stars from the Lido are on the ground, and the pink haze of skies from fires raging in Arizona. The Wedding Bell Chapel was one of the many themed wedding chapels in Las Vegas, reflecting the city’s long-standing association with quick and elaborate weddings. These chapels often featured neon signs to catch the attention of visitors, adding to the charm and allure of a spontaneous Vegas wedding.
The Lido de Paris was an extravagant stage show that was a centerpiece of entertainment at the Stardust Hotel and Casino, beginning in 1958. Known for its lavish costumes, stunning choreography, and impressive stage sets, it brought a slice of Parisian cabaret to Las Vegas. The Lido’s stars and themes were integrated into the Stardust’s neon signage, making the connection between the hotel and show unmistakable, with the stars becoming iconic symbols of the luxurious production.
