In this composition, flourishes from the Sassy Sally Hotel and The Aladdin merge into a swirling dance of neon memory, their curves and angles etched with the stories of a city that never sleeps. I positioned myself behind the unmistakable Atomic font of the Stardust sign, its bold lines echoing the futuristic optimism of a past era.
What fascinated me most, though, were the unseen elements—the exposed guts and wiring of the signs. There, beneath the glamorous façade, lay the intricate machinery that once breathed light into these icons, now dormant but still alive in their raw beauty. Capturing this contrast, between surface and structure, was like painting the heartbeat of Las Vegas itself.
